We need your help!
A senior is in need of a ride to her dental appointment. You'll pick up the senior from Burnaby and drive her to Delta, wait while she is at the appointment and drive her back to Burnaby after her appointment. While the senior is awaiting confirmation of the appointment, it will happen during a weekday during regular business hours (Monday - Friday between 9:30am - 4:30pm). Please consider helping if you can!
How this works
We'll provide you with details to contact the neighbor when you respond. Senior will schedule the appointment to try to fit your schedule, but within the hours mentioned above. Please organize the best time for pick up and drop off directly with the neighbor.
We’ll remind the neighbor to wear a mask, sanitize hands before entering the vehicle and to sit in the rear passenger seat but not directly behind you.
Safety tips
- Wear a face mask that fits snugly over your nose and mouth and loops behind your ears or ties behind your head.
- If the weather permits, keep the windows down to allow airflow.
- Carry a bottle of hand sanitizer to sanitize your hands or carry a pair of disposable gloves.
- Don’t touch your mask while wearing it – if you accidentally touch it, sanitize your hands.

Your health and safety are important to us
Maintain physical distancing by keeping a minimum 2-meter distance between you and any other person not in your immediate family.
Wearing a non-medical mask or face covering while out in public is recommended for periods of time when it's not possible to consistently maintain a 2-metre physical distance from others, particularly in crowded public settings.
Avoid touching your face and in particular your eyes, nose and mouth.
Practice good hand hygiene by washing your hands thoroughly and often. Wash hands with soap for a minimum of 20 seconds and rinse under clean running water.
If you are unwell, please stay home and do not volunteer. If you are at all unsure of your health status, the BC Centre for Disease Control’s online self-assessment tool is available at https://covid19.thrive.health/.
