Potential is in everyone. You can ignite a young person's potential by volunteering as a mentor. Find the program that fits for you:
Community Based Mentoring- This is traditional mentoring that matches a big brother or sister with a little brother or sister based on common interests and compatibility. Bigs commit to spending time with their Little in the community on a regular basis. It's a great way to get to know the community while being a role model for a young person.
In-School Mentoring- This mentoring takes place at school. Mentors commit to spending 1 hour each week during the school year on site. Many of the young people who have In-School Mentors rely on this friendly and supportive connection to help them navigate school life and peer relationships. You can spend the hour playing board games or find some creative projects! This program offers volunteer possibilities for adults and teens.
Group Program Mentoring- Group facilitators are trained in leading our Game On, Go Girls or Explorations groups that take place after school on school sites. The groups run for about 1-1.5 hours each week for 7-8 weeks. Young people learn about healthy living while making great friends with the other group participants.
