The United Way Service Clinic Volunteer will be welcoming displaced Ukrainians that arrive at your assigned station at the Service Clinic. The volunteer will be stationed with representatives from multiple other agencies offering a variety of services at the clinic.
The volunteer will be saying “hello” and providing a UWBC Welcome Package & Children's Activity kits to individuals and families that attend. These welcome packages include helpful items and information. Multiple families will be arriving every 15 minutes.
What you will be helping with:
- Meeting the Donation Delivery Driver to assist with transporting Welcome Bags & Children's activity kits into the clinic
- Meeting the Donation Delivery Driver to assist with transporting remaining Welcome Bags & Children's activity kits out of the clinic
- Setup of Welcome Bags & Children's Activity kits at assigned table/station (opening shift)
- Take down of any remaining Welcome Bags & Children's activity kits (closing shift)
- Setup UWBC Banner (opening shift)
- Take down of UWBC Banner (closing shift)
- Welcome displaced Ukrainians arriving at your station
- Hand out welcome package to each family.
- Hand out children's activity kits to each family with children
Other Helpful Information
- Upon arrival you will check in with a Coordinator. The Coordinator with direct you to your assigned table/station
- Volunteers will be provided with a UWBC T-Shirt
- This volunteer locations is INDOORS
- Prior to your first shift, you will have a connect call with a UWBC Volunteer Coordinator to outline your role & answer questions.
- Volunteers must be able to walk for 15 minutes when assisting with transporting welcome bags into & out of the clinic
- Volunteers are encouraged to bring minimal belongings as there is no a secure place for them while volunteering
