Ukrainian Canadian Advocacy Group is hosting a pop-up art exhibition on July 27th in Gastown to raise funds for displaced Ukrainian families. Volunteers are needed to assist us with promoting the event by distributing posters throughout the City of Vancouver.
What you will be helping with:
- Picking up posters from the Ukrainian Canadian Advocacy Group offices in Burnaby
- Distribute as-needed posters throughout the City of Vancouver
- Attach posters to poster cylinders on city street light poles
- Contacting local Vancouver Community Centres, Coffee Shops & Grocery Stores to inquire if they are able to assist by allowing brochure distribution or having a Community Board to post-event posters
Other Helpful Information
- Please use glue or tape to attach posters
- IMPORTANT: Do not place posters on utility poles that have no poster cylinder or on any other City property
- Volunteering is Outdoors
- Once you have responded to this opportunity you will be contacted by a Ukrainian Canadian Advocacy Group team member with further information
- Volunteers must be able to walk for multiple hours during each shift
- Volunteers are encouraged to bring minimal belongings as there is no secure place for them while volunteering
