Description

This role provides non-profit agencies in the Kelowna community with access to bus tickets for their clients/participants. This role will ensure that the tickets reach the non-profit agencies who have applied to receive them.

United Way British Columbia (UWBC) has administered the Emergency Transit Assistance Program in the Kelowna area for 12 years. In that time this program has grown significantly and the demand in the community has also increased exponentially. Often when a client reaches out for help from a non-profit agency they are struggling financially and make many journeys on foot. Having access to transit passes makes every part of their seeking help that much easier.

You will play a vital role in connecting resources to people who need them.
