About this role:

Play a part in creating a more compassionate and united Cedar Valley community through the Kindness Rock Community Project. Paint uplifting messages on rocks to spread positivity, kindness, and inspiration to brighten someone's day and foster a sense of community wellness.

This self-directed volunteer position allows you to make a meaningful impact while flexibly contributing your time and creativity at your own pace.

Time Commitment:

This is a self-directed volunteer role, so you have the flexibility to choose your level of involvement. You can dedicate as much or as little time as you wish, making it a perfect opportunity for those with busy schedules.

What you'll do:

  1. Rock Painting and Decorating: Create hand-painted or decorated rocks with uplifting messages, inspiring quotes, or beautiful designs. Use your artistic skills to make each rock unique and visually appealing.

  2. Rock Distribution: Place your painted rocks in various locations throughout the community, such as parks, trails, schools, libraries, and local businesses. Ensure that the rocks are well-hidden but easily discoverable by others.

  3. Spread Positivity: Encourage and inspire others by crafting messages that promote kindness, resilience, empathy, and unity. Your rocks will be a source of encouragement for those who find them.

  4. Social Media Engagement: Document your rock-painting adventures and rock placements on social media platforms to raise awareness of the Kindness Rock Community Project. Use relevant hashtags and share the joy your rocks bring to people's lives.

  5. Community Engagement: Encourage others in your community to join the project by organizing workshops or events where people can gather to paint and decorate rocks together. Share your passion for kindness and art with fellow volunteers.

  6. Maintain a Positive Environment: Ensure that your rocks and messages promote positivity, inclusivity, and respect.
