Join our transportation volunteer team at Kerrisdale, Oakridge, Marpole Better at Home Program!
If you have two hours or more each week to spare, we could really use your help! We have many diverse seniors (lots in their eighties and nineties) who need some assistance getting to their medical appointments. You would pick them up at home, drive them to the appointment, wait (or grab a coffee) and drive them home again. The coordinator manages the schedule and will send you an email one week in advance to see if you can do a ride. You simply say yes or no! We are able to cover the cost of increasing your insurance to 3 million third party liability and we can also cover the cost of the ride to the appointment with 68 cent per kilometer plus any parking fees. By volunteering for JFS, increase your chance of employment opportunities in non-profit industry.

DELIVERABLES/DUTIES:
Pick up senior at their home, drive to appointment, return when appointment is finished and drive them back home.
Drive safely.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Good driving record, criminal record check (if you don't have one we can help you to get one at no cost), use of personal vehicle, patience, enjoys helping seniors
