About the project:
Join us in bringing life to Chelsea Manors Community Garden. We've secured a beautiful spot in Abbotsford and are eager to transform it into a vibrant community space where everyone can learn, share, and grow. This is your chance to dig into a new adventure and help transform a vacant plot into a thriving community space!
Volunteer information:
We're looking for keen volunteers to help us with a variety of tasks. No experience is required. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or a curious newbie, we welcome all who are eager to lend a hand. Tools and guidance will be provided so just bring your enthusiasm! Stay for the whole day or help out for as many hours as you can - any amount of time you contribute will be greatly appreciated and will make a big difference!
- 8-10 volunteers required
- 10 AM - 5 PM. This is a full day event. You can stay for the full day or help out for as many hours as you can
- Dress for the weather. Bring a hat, wear comfortable clothes and close-toed shoes
- Tool, snack and refreshments provided
- Meet at Dahlstrom Place & George Ferguson Way, Abbotsford
Activities:
- Leveling garden plot
- Constructing basic garden boxes
- Filling planter boxes with dirt
