Transportation to medical appointments
The Tri-Cities Better at Home Program requires volunteers for the Transportation Services. Trained volunteer drivers, provide seniors with transportation to their doctor’s appointments. Medical appointments are across metro Vancouver. Volunteers will be using their own vehicles or agency vehicle, volunteers pick up their assigned seniors at their doorstep, take them to their appointment and return them home.
Non-Medical transportation
Eligible for in-person shopping, and personal appointments such as Pharmacy, Recreation facilities, Banks, and Libraries…etc. The in-person shopping and personal appointments are within the Tri-Cities. Volunteers will be using their own vehicles or agency vehicles. Volunteers pick up their assigned seniors at their doorstep, take them to their appointments and return them home.
- Trips duration is no longer than 3 hours.
- Milleage expences will be covered.
