To provide assistance and transportation for seniors to and from their medical appointments within District 69.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Contact
client by telephone to confirm appointment for pick-up and check for any
address or appointment discrepancies
Submit
any donations accepted on behalf of client to SOS for receipt
Keep
accurate mileage records of each drive and submit to coordinator monthly
Communicate
effectively with Coordinator regarding schedule changes and availability. Notify
the Coordinator of any client concerns immediately
The
SOS Volunteer Policy binds to and forms part of this job description which will be provided during the application process
Required Qualifications:
Valid
Class 5 BC Driver Licence (copy to be submitted initially and upon renewal)
Valid
vehicle insurance with minimum $2M Third Party Liability coverage (copy to be
submitted initially and upon renewal)
Good
driving record and a reliable vehicle
Ability
to navigate safely
Schedule, Training and Commitment:
On
shift training provided including Occupational Health and Safety
Shifts
available: Shifts are scheduled during SOS Community Service Centre operation
hours Monday – Friday 8:30 – 4:30 (Closed all Stat Holidays)
