Description

About the Project:

The African-Canadian Seniors and Single Parents Assn (ACSSPA) is dedicated to breaking down the barriers to digital technology for African seniors, enabling them to access essential online services and enhancing their health through educational programs. This initiative aims to foster community integration, alleviate isolation, and promote the well-being of elderly African-Canadians and other seniors from diverse backgrounds.

The workshops focus on a broad range of digital skills,  from basic internet navigation and health management, coupled with education on healthy life style habits and the importance of sleep for mental health.

By volunteering, you'll contribute to reducing isolation and fostering inclusivity, ensuring seniors can confidently access digital services and maintain healthy habits. Volunteers must attend a mandatory volunteer training session from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on August 3rd, 2024 at Tommy Douglas.
