Board Member
As an operational board, theBoard plays a hands-on role in the organization’s daily activities, guiding strategic initiatives, and serving as the primary representative of the organization. This role is an opportunity to lead and inspire a culture of volunteerism in Kamloops while ensuring the organization operates effectively. Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Operations
• Represent Volunteer Kamloops in community events, partnerships, and public relations efforts to promote volunteerism within the community.
• Foster relationships with community groups, non-profits, government agencies, and businesses to strengthen the organization’s impact.
• Advocate for policies and initiatives that support and enhance volunteerism in Kamloops.
Strategic Planning & Organizational Development
• Work with other Board members to develop and implement strategic plans that advance the organization’s mission.
• Ensure sustainable financial management by supporting fundraising, grant applications, and donor relations.
• Encourage an inclusive and welcoming environment that engages diverse community members in volunteer opportunities.
