About the Initiative

BC Safe Haven Program supports refugee claimants by connecting them with essential services, community resources, and settlement support while they are navigate the refugee claim process in Canada.

The poster is to promote hosting refugee claimants or providing rental opportunities through private landlords.

What you will be helping with:


  • Picking up posters from the office in Burnaby
  • Distribute as-needed posters throughout Thompson Nicola Cariboo's (Kamloops, Kelowna, Penticton, Logan Lake, Prince George, Vernon, Salmon Arm, Columbia Basin-Boundary, Revelstoke)
  • Contacting local Community Centres, Libraries, Coffee Shops & Grocery Stores (Community Boards), Ethnic Convenient Stores, Cultural Centres to inquire if they are able to assist by allowing poster distribution or having a Community Board to post-event posters

 Other Helpful Information

  • Please use glue, pins or tape to attach posters as needed
