Ukulele Instructor

Description
Join our team at Tonari Gumi – Japanese Community Volunteers Association and share your love of music with our seniors! We are looking for a volunteer Ukulele Instructor to lead a relaxed and enjoyable class for beginners.

Volunteers in this role will:

Lead a beginner-friendly ukulele class for seniors
Teach basic chords and simple songs
Support participants at different skill levels
Foster a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment

We are looking for volunteers who:

Have basic ukulele playing skills
Enjoy teaching or sharing music with others
Are patient, friendly, and encouraging
Can commit to a regular schedule (weekday daytime preferred)
Japanese-speaking volunteers are especially welcome, but not required

Volunteers in this role will attend an interview and orientation session.
