Photographer (Volunteer Cancer Drivers Society – VCDS)
Overview:
We’re looking for a volunteer photographer to help capture the story of VCDS, our volunteers, patients, and community.
Through thoughtful, respectful images, you’ll help bring to life the compassion and connection at the heart of what we do.
What You’ll Do:
- Photograph VCDS events, volunteer gatherings, and community activities
- Capture images (with consent) at cancer treatment centres that reflect the patient journey and volunteer support.
- Take candid and lightly guided photos that highlight connection, care, and impact
- Provide a curated selection of edited, high-quality images for use in communications (website, social media, reports)
- Collaborate with the VCDS team on storytelling needs.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in photography (professional or strong amateur).
- Strong eye for authentic, human moments.
- Comfortable working in sensitive environments with empathy and discretion.
- Basic photo editing skills.
- Access to your own equipment.
- Willingness to follow privacy, consent, and confidentiality guidelines.
- Emotional readiness to be in healthcare-related settings.
Time Commitment:
Flexible, based on your availability and event schedule. Occasional weekday availability is helpful.

The Volunteer Cancer Drivers Society is a not-for-profit organization providing complimentary transportation for Fraser Valley and Greater Vancouver residents battling cancer. We are supported solely by volunteers and donations!
