✨ Volunteer Opportunity: Café Facilitator – Mental Wellness Community Café
Brella is excited to be partnering with Together Community Cafes, a grassroots initiative focused on creating welcoming, stigma-free spaces where people can openly connect and talk about mental wellness.
We are currently seeking compassionate healthcare professionals to volunteer as Café Facilitators for monthly community café gatherings.
This role is ideal for:
• Psychologists
• Clinical Counsellors
• Occupational Therapists
• Physicians
• Psychiatric Nurses
• Retired professionals from these fields
As a Café Facilitator, you will help guide supportive group conversations, encourage connection, and foster a warm, inclusive environment where participants feel heard and valued.
Responsibilities include:
• Facilitating monthly café discussions focused on mental wellness
• Supporting respectful, open conversation in a trauma-informed setting
• Encouraging connection, reflection, and community support
• Sharing appropriate community resources and wellness supports
• Working collaboratively with café organizers and volunteers We are looking for individuals with:
• Experience facilitating groups, workshops, or therapeutic discussions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to equity, inclusion, and non-stigmatizing approaches to mental health
• An understanding of community mental health and culturally safe practices
✨ Additional languages such as Punjabi, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hindi, Spanish, or French are considered strong assets.
Commitment: Approximately 4–5 hours per month, with an initial one-year term.
