Unity of New Westminster is looking for Cleaner Volunteers to help care for our indoor and outdoor spaces so they remain welcoming, peaceful, and ready for Sunday services and community activities. Whether you enjoy tidying indoor spaces or helping outside with grounds upkeep, your support will make a real difference.
As part of our cleaning and care team, you'll help create an environment where members, guests, and visitors feel comfortable, supported, and at home.
Responsibilities
- Assist with indoor cleaning such as dusting, vacuuming, wiping surfaces, and tidying common areas.
- Help clean washrooms, kitchen areas, and meeting spaces as needed.
- Support outdoor cleanup such as sweeping walkways, picking up debris, and light yard tidying.
- Help keep entrances and outdoor gathering areas neat and welcoming.
- Report any supply shortages or maintenance concerns.
- Work with fellow volunteers to complete tasks efficiently and respectfully.
- Help prepare the church environment for services, events, and community use.
What We're Looking For
- Willing to help with cleaning and care tasks, indoors or outdoors.
- Dependable and able to follow through on agreed tasks.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Able to do light physical activity such as standing, bending, lifting light items, or outdoor tidying.
- No previous cleaning experience is required.
