Brella Community Services Society is looking for friendly and compassionate volunteers to support our weekly Coffee Time social program for older adults. As a Coffee Time Buddy, you'll help create a welcoming and inclusive environment where participants can connect, socialize, and enjoy meaningful conversations.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys meeting new people, building relationships, and helping older adults feel engaged and valued in their community.

Location: Brella Community Services Society, South Surrey
Schedule: Wednesdays, 12:45 PM – 3:15 PM (weekly)
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome participants as they arrive
- Engage older adults in friendly conversation and activities
- Assist with serving refreshments and light snacks
- Help create a warm, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere
- Support staff with light set-up and clean-up duties
- Encourage social connection and participation among attendees
Qualifications:
- Friendly, patient, and reliable
- Comfortable interacting with older adults from diverse backgrounds
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A commitment to fostering inclusion and community connection
- Must be 18 years or older
