Who We Are

Our Mission

Helping children and families in need reach their full potential by fueling their mind and body one mouthful at a time”

Our Program

Since 2005 the Chilliwack Bowls of Hope Society has operated the Feed the Children Program through the efforts of community-based volunteers, donors and Community Partners.

Our program currently provides soup, fruit and other hot lunch items to 28 schools within the Chilliwack School District. Through donations from businesses, community partners, and the public, 1000 children in need receive over 20,000 bowls of soup each month.

The Feed the Children Program is making a big difference in the Chilliwack community. Studies have shown that increasing the amount of nourishment that a child receives improves their cognitive understanding, particularly their speed and accuracy of information retrieval in working memory. This results in higher academic achievement and correlates to improvements in behavior which decreases classroom interruptions, which benefits all students and teachers.
