The Chilliwack Bowls of Hope Society is looking for energetic individuals who would be willing to help us in our kitchen with day-to-day tasks. Our staff is here to provide you with the guidance necessary to having a safe and wonderful time during your volunteering shift; because of this no professional kitchen/foodsafe experience is needed, though is always welcome! We firmly believe that it takes a village to feed a child and encourage people from all walks of life to help up feed the children in our community!
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for longer periods
Some of the daily tasks would include:
- Chopping/Prepping Vegetables
- Packaging food items
- Baking
- Helping with making/packing of the soup
- Helping us organize incoming and outgoing donations
- Helping with inventory
Assets:
- Food Safe
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Previous Kitchen/knife experience
- A great attitude
