Description

We need your help!

We're looking for volunteers to help with a variety of tasks from sorting close-dated produce, to creating nutritional food hampers, to breaking down cardboard boxes and general clean-up.

We create 700 nutritional hampers each week for vulnerable families consisting of produce, dairy and meat. That equates to over 2,000 individuals fed by your efforts each week along with diverting close-dated food from the landfill.

How this works:

When you arrive, please sign the attendance sheet to indicate you are feeling healthy and to record your contact information if you are NEW. If possible, leave your valuables at home or keep them on you.

We'll provide:

  • Water and granola bars (please bring your own meal if you need one)
  • Disposable masks
  • Disposable gloves
  • Apron (please return it at the end of your shift so that we can get it laundered)

Additional information:

We're located just south of East Broadway, between Nanaimo and Renfrew.  Free parking is available on Slocan Street.

During your shift please remember to maintain physical distancing by keeping a 2-metre distance between yourself and others. Please stay home if you are unwell.
